141 students from Punjab Colleges awarded cash prizes for securing Top positions in Intermediate Results 2016

Chief Minister Mr. Mian Shahbaz Sharif arranged a Prize Distribution Ceremony at Aiwan e Iqbal Lahore for the appreciation of top position holders in all Punjab Boards Intermediate Results 2016. Mr. Mian Shahbaz Sharif graced the occasion as Chief Guest while other distinguished guests included Provincial Minister Mr. Rana Mashood, Begum Zakia Shahnawaz, Dr. Nizam ul Din Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission and Dr. Amjad Saqib.
The position holders from all Punjab Boards attended this ceremony. Among these the students of Punjab Colleges had a majority of strength as they secured 141 top positions in Intermediate Results 2016. Hence, they bagged a major share of cash prizes for over 10 million of rupees.
All the position holders were presented with Guard of Honor at the end of the Prize Distribution Ceremony.

PGC grabs FBISE Annual General Sports trophy for the 9th time consecutively

Punjab Group of Colleges is proud to announce that our sports teams have brought home FBISE Annual Sports General Trophy 2016. It is a moment of great joy for us that our players have clinched this trophy for the ninth time consecutively thus, maintaining our tradition of victory.

PGC Volly Ball and Hockey Team stood winners of their respective championships while Badminton, Table Tennis and Tennis Team stood Runner Up.

On the occasion of this 9th time win 9 of our talented sportsmen; Kashif Ali, Nabeel Mughal, Muneeb Hussain, Haris Ahmed, M Haseeb-ur-Rehman, M Ahtisham Younis, M Younis, M Nauman Janjua, M Usman Janjua and Hammad Ali, have been awarded gold medals in different games. While Punjab College in Blue Area, Islamabad won the title of Best College in Sports for the eighth time consecutively.

Toppers Convention 16 in honor of high achieving students

Punjab Group of Colleges organized Toppers Convention 16 in honor of high achieving students. The purpose of this event was to encourage the students for their achievements and hard work. Over 10 million rupees were presented to 73 students in the form of incentives to appreciate them and direct them towards a strive to polish their potentials.

Vice Chancellor Punjab University Mr. Majid Kamran graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He appreciated PGC on rewarding students for their achievements. Aleena Mohsin who secured 1082 marks recieved a cash prize of 4 lacs while Rana Sufiyan, Hajra Manan, Fatima Tariq, Muhammad Hazela, Mahnoor Shazad , Javeria Ayub, Munezay, Ramsha and Tayyaba Akhter recieved cash prizes of 2 lacs each and the rest were awarded with 1 lac rupees.

PGC acknowledges the exceptional results achieved by these bright students and encourages them to continue studying with same dedication and commitment to achieve excellence.

Punjab Group of College organizes Punjab College Literary Festival (The Biggest Inter Punjab Colleges Competitions Fair – 2016)

PGC Lahore extends invite of its new upcoming overture PCLF\’16 (Punjab College Literary Festival), a 4- Day Literary Festival, starting from 2nd Nov to 5th Nov, 2016. The event shall be featuring several competitions to celebrate harmony between the Lahore\’s Cluster of Punjab Group of Colleges. PGC upholds its tradition of fostering talent in performing, arts, culture and literature. The purpose of the event is to foster healthy competition among campuses for harnessing artistic sensibility and promoting talent as great art allows us to see ourselves and our own community through a different lens and is a platform of entertainment and reform.

The event shall be entertaining different contests like :

Bilingual Debates
Short Films and Documentary Competition
Theater Competition
Painting and Visage Canvas Contest
Punjabi Taakra
The event shall bring students from 8 different cities of PGC\’s Lahore Cluster:

PGC secures first position in Hockey Championship organized by Educational Board Multan

PGC is proud of its notable achievements held in the sports arena. PGC equally lay emphasis upon the recreational activities along with academics. These activities bring a rejuvenating and uplifting wave into the campus, it is something that the students, teachers and the institute look forward to on the whole.

An Intercollegiate Hockey Championship match was arranged by Educational Board Multan on September, 2016. Several campuses and universities participated in the competition, displaying a zealous spirit. GC Waharri and Punjab College\’s Hockey Team, Multan qualified the first round and made into the finals. Tafheem and Rohan Ameen played exceptionally well to score goals for the team. The final score on both ends was 2-1 by Punjab College, Multan and GC,Waharri respectively. PGC took the lead by one score. We are proud to announce that Punjab College\’s Hockey Team Multan played fabulously well to win the final round and was declared as Champion.

We are proud of their achievement and outstanding performance and wish them best of luck for their future endeavors.

PGC wins Football Championship 2016-17, Regional Round arranged by BISE Lahore

PGC entertains engagement in healthy activities and provides diverse range of platforms for its students. These platforms provides a better chance for students to bring out their inner talent and promotes them by engaging them into the competitive ventures. The spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship displayed by the players is demonstrated through their skills and dedication in the field.

PGC\\’s Football Team participated in Inter-collegiate Football Championship 2016-2017 organized by Board of Education Lahore. Total sixteen teams participated in the competition. The first semi final round took place between Punjab College and Govt. College of Science. Punjab college qualified for the next round by a score of 3-0. The second semi final round was won by Superior college by a score of 4-1 from Concordia College. Both Superior College and Punjab College made it into the Final round. We take pride to announce that Punjab College took the lead by 1-0. PGC was declared as champion for their exceptional performance in the Regional Round whereby bringing glory to the institute.

7 Top positions in 6 Punjab Boards

Punjab Group of Colleges is proud of all its students who outshined in their Intermediate Results 2016. These students have proven to be our true assets with their outstanding results.

7 students of different Punjab College institutes managed to secure overall 1st position in 6 Punjab Boards. Ubaidullah Muhammad Naeem from Punjab College Lahore topped in overall Results of all Boards. Thus he stood 1st in overall Lahore Board with 1054/ 1100 marks. Amna Tabasam secured 1st position in overall results of BISE Sahiwal with1048/1100 marks. Umar Maqbool from Punjab College Faisalabad topped in Faisalabad Board with 1044/1100 marks. Aqsa Sadiq topped in Multan Board with 1048/1100 marks. While in Gujranwala Board two of our students Muhammad Abdullah and Syed Jazib Shah shined together on top with 1046/1100.

We congratulate these brilliant students, all their families and teachers who worked together to achieve these top positions.

Top positions in Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Results 2016

The students of different Punjab College Campuses, who
appeared in Intermediate Examinations 2016 of different Punjab Boards, have
collectively achieved 141 top positions in their results. It is a moment of
great pride for the Group that these students have manifested their utmost
commitment towards maintaining our networks tradition of excellence so that its
story of glory continues.

We congratulate these students on achieving the fruit of all
their toil and hard work.  We thank their
teachers who devotedly worked upon our mission and trained these students to
develop their skills. Thus, enabling them to think cogently and act rationally.
Also taught them to express themselves coherently by inculcating in them the
habit of working diligently and made helped them function compassionately.

Top positions in MCAT Exam 2016

These students attended Entry Test Preparatory Classes from Entry Test Session at different Punjab College Campuses.

Umer Maqbool of Punjab College Toba Tek Singh who attended entry test preparatory classes from Punjab College Faisalabad secured 1st position in MCAT Exam 2016 with 1082/1100 marks. Rabbia Irfan from Punjab College Gujranwala secured 2nd position with 1076/1100 marks, and Aliza Ashraf from Punjab College Sahiwal secured 3rd position with 1070/1100 marks.

The impeccable performance of these students proves the effectiveness of all the hard work our teachers put into the preparation of our students for their every exam.

Punjab College Multan clean sweeps top 5 positions in B.Com. Bahauddin Zakariya University Results 2016

It is a moment of great pride that Punjab Group of Colleges has yet again maintained its tradition of excellence. Students of Punjab College Multan have emerged as shining stars after the declaration of Bahauddin Zakariya University B.Com Results 2016.

These students: Numra Tariq 1st position with 1249, Nudrat Iqbal 2nd position with 1215 marks, and Sana Abid 3rd with 1196 marks stood out as high achievers while Ayyub Khan with 1194 marks and Iqra Khalid with 1180 marks contributed in the clean sweep of first 5 positions by Punjab College Multan.

With this great achievement of the students, PGC has emerged as more steadfast educational network than ever before. The network has its roots in a commerce college setup, and it’s been 31 years since we first laid our foundation, thus the success of students in commerce group is undoubtedly our hallmark.
